UPDATE: After a MAJOR delay in getting this material, it is now set to arrive on July 10th, 2010. Thanks for your patience... we think the wait will be worth it.
20' container of Azobe Railroad Sleepers (Railroad Ties) are on their way here and should arrive around the end of March.
These ties measure 6" x 10 x 8'6" each and talk about dense... each one weighs about 220 lbs.

6 x 10 x 8'6".... and 220 lbs!!!
Measures 3350 on the Janka scale of hardness (16th hardest in the world).
Azobe is a tropical wood that comes from certain parts of Africa. Long used as railroad ties throughout Europe because of it's ability to hold up under extreme conditions without the need for a creosote or other chemical treatment. It is considered to be practically immune to rot and is one of the few species in the world resistant to pests including termites and woodworm.
Azobe is ideal for any outdoor use... on both damp and dry ground and in fresh or salt water. It seems to last "forever".
Azobe is the hardest industrially used wood in the world.
The heartwood is naturally fire-resistant and is naturally very resistant to weathering, acids and parasites.

Holds up to all weather conditions, pests, etc.
We've negotiated the purchase of large quantities of this material and can sell 20' container loads (224 PCS) to anywhere in the US for a price we're afraid to even mention here... email us and we'll let you know.
As a decking material there is no match... and can be had for much less than any competing product... Teak, Ipe, Mangaris, etc. Contact us for details.
***Update - We received a solid offer on the entire lot of beams from this project today. However, we are still accepting back up offers.
We've got a decent sized warehouse project underway in San Diego with about (50) 12x18's, (120) 8x12's along with what looked like a 24x24 or 2, (30) 8 x 8's and (50) 12x12...all painted but with a beautiful grain underneath.
16,000 BF of Rough-Sawn 2 x 12's used in the ceiling... painted on at least 1 face.
Three is also a truckload or 2 of some gorgeous unpainted 2 x 8 & 10 S4S material with a beautiful patina measuring 1-5/8" thick.

We are blowing out a full truckload of very nice Douglas Fir Material we just have too much of in order to make room for other items coming in... This is your rare chance to pick up some great material at an unbelievable price.
Old School (Rough-Sawn/Square Edge) Doug Fir 1 x 4, 2 x 4 & 3 x 4... As-Is for 50 cents/BF... Denailed @ 70 cents/BF
8 x 14 & 6 x 12 Doug Fir Beams - 90 cents/BF
This deal ONLY applies for FULL TRUCKLOAD QUANTITIES and is available on a first-come first-served basis.

2 x 4's

1 x 4

8 x 14

High-Point Resaw
In order to keep up with the milling orders, we just purchased (will be delivered on 5/17/10) a new large capacity horizontal resaw. This resaw can handle beams as large as 11" x 16" and is accurate as heck.
Should cut our milling time by about 30% .
A local designer, Gabriel Abraham of Atelier, stopped by the day our load of Barnwood came in from Ohio and picked out some amazing 1 x 18" pieces of Poplar... Yes, 1 x 18's!
He emailed us the attached pics after completing the project and we were blown away by the results.

During a recent trip to Ohio, we purchased several barns slated for demolition. 22,000 Board Feet of the material was milled into flooring for a nice project we've been working on while some went as-is directly to the job-site.
With that project nearly complete, we will be bringing out the remaining material from these projects. It consists mainly of 1x and 2x brown and grey board...
There's plenty of snow on the ground right now so we'll need to wait until we get a break in the weather but we anticipate having the material out here by 2/1/2010 ready for the public.
